Send these four things on WhatsApp

One message is enough to start triage. The pre-filled message in the button below already lists them.

  1. 1Your website URL and whether it is down for everyone or just some people.
  2. 2What is broken, in plain words "checkout stopped taking cards" is perfect.
  3. 3The exact error text or a screenshot 500, 502, 503, "error establishing a database connection" — the wording narrows the cause.
  4. 4When it started and anything that changed: an update, a deploy, a new campaign.

Is it actually an emergency?

Not every fault needs a scramble — and pretending everything is a P1 is how real emergencies get missed. This is the scale we use to decide how fast we move. If you are unsure, send it on WhatsApp and we will classify it in the first reply.

P1

Revenue has stopped

Site down, checkout dead, payments failing, malware or defacement visible

We start immediately and send WhatsApp updates every 30-60 minutes until the site is trading again.

P2

A major function is broken

Forms not sending, login or admin failing, SSL expired, site emails not delivered

Same-day fix. Most P2 jobs are closed within a few hours of the quote being approved.

P3

Degraded, but still trading

Slow pages, broken layout on one browser, plugin warnings, missing images

Scheduled within 24-48 hours. Still WhatsApp-tracked, just not an all-hands scramble.

The eight emergencies we fix most

What you see, what usually caused it, and what we do about it. If your fault is not on this list, it is still worth a message — we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Complete downtime

What you see
The site does not load at all. You see 500, 502, 503 or 504 errors, or a plain white screen.
Usual cause
Server crash, hosting outage, PHP or Node process death, exhausted memory, suspended hosting account.

Hacked, malware or defaced

What you see
Unknown links, spam pages, a changed homepage, a browser or Google "not safe" warning.
Usual cause
Outdated plugin or theme, weak passwords, exposed admin, unpatched vulnerability.

Broken checkout, forms or payments

What you see
Add-to-cart fails, orders never arrive, cards decline, contact forms send nothing.
Usual cause
Payment gateway or API change, plugin conflict, expired keys, blocked outbound requests.

Slow pages and timeouts

What you see
The site loads in 10+ seconds, admin times out, "connection timed out" errors.
Usual cause
Traffic spike, unoptimised queries, missing caching, server overload, oversized media.

SSL expired or mixed content

What you see
"Not secure" in the address bar, certificate warnings, images or scripts blocked.
Usual cause
Expired certificate, wrong renewal, HTTP assets still referenced after an HTTPS move.

DNS or domain problems

What you see
"This site cannot be reached", email down, the site resolving to the wrong server.
Usual cause
Expired domain, nameserver change, propagation after a host or DNS move.

Database failures

What you see
"Error establishing a database connection", missing posts, corrupted tables, empty admin.
Usual cause
Corruption, full disk, wrong credentials, failed migration, oversized tables.

Broken right after an update

What you see
The site worked yesterday. Today, after a plugin, theme, CMS or dependency update, it is broken.
Usual cause
Incompatible release, breaking change in a dependency, half-finished auto-update.
Before you call anyone

What to do in the first ten minutes

These six checks take ten minutes, protect your data, and give us the information that turns a two-hour diagnosis into a twenty-minute one.

The single most expensive mistake is debugging on the live site while it is already broken. Do not delete files, reinstall, or run more updates.

01

Check whether it is only you

Open the site on your phone using mobile data (not wifi) and in a private/incognito window. If it loads for you and nobody else, it is usually cache or a local DNS problem — not the server.

02

Test from a second location

Ask a colleague in another building, or use a public "is it down for everyone or just me" checker. If it fails everywhere, treat it as a real outage.

03

Write down the exact error

The wording matters. "500 Internal Server Error", "502 Bad Gateway", "Error establishing a database connection", "SSL certificate expired" and "This site cannot be reached" each point at a different layer.

04

Note the last change

Plugin or theme update, new code deployment, DNS move, certificate renewal, new campaign driving a traffic spike. Nine times out of ten, the break is one change away.

05

Do not fix it live

Take a screenshot. Do not delete files, do not reinstall the site, do not run more updates. Changes during an incident slow recovery down and can destroy the evidence we need — especially after a hack.

06

Send us what you have

Even a URL and "it is down since this morning" is enough to start. We will ask for the rest while we are already looking.

Emergency response

What happens after you press send

A structured six-stage response, with the timings you can hold us to. Most P1 incidents are closed the same day.

  1. 010-15 min

    Triage

We confirm the failure from outside your network, read server and application logs, and classify it P1, P2 or P3. You get a one-line diagnosis and a fixed quote in writing.

  2. 0215-45 min

    Containment

Fresh backup before we touch anything. We then stop the bleeding: disable the failing plugin, roll back the bad release, or put up a maintenance page so you stop losing orders while we work.

  3. 0330-90 min

    Diagnosis

Server, application, database and third-party logs, plus a reproduction of the failure. We identify the root cause, not just the symptom that is visible from the outside.

  4. 04Same day for P1 and P2

    Fix

Apply the real fix: patch the vulnerability, repair the database, correct the configuration, restore from a verified backup, or replace the broken component.

  5. 05Before we call it fixed

    Verification

Checkout, forms, login, admin, mobile layout, page speed and search-engine crawlers are tested. You confirm on your side before we close the incident.

  6. 06Within 24 hours

    Post-incident report

A written summary: what broke, why it broke, what we changed, and the specific steps that stop it happening again. You keep it whether or not you work with us again.

Hacked website recovery

If your site has been hacked, order matters

Cleaning the visible symptom is the most common reason sites get reinfected within days. The backdoor stays, the spam pages come back, and the Google warning returns with them. We work in the order that actually removes the attacker.

For a deeper look at posture after recovery, see our cybersecurity consulting in Dubai, or start with a free security assessment.

1

Contain

Preserve evidence, restrict admin access, block the attack path and take a forensic snapshot before we clean anything.

2

Clean

Remove malware, backdoors, injected scripts, spam pages and rogue admin accounts. Most hacks are reinfected within hours when only the visible symptom is removed.

3

Restore

Surgical repair of infected files, or a restore from the last clean backup — with the difference explained so you can decide.

4

Harden

Updates, file permissions, a web application firewall, two-factor authentication, rotated passwords and removed unused plugins and themes.

5

Re-index

Once the site is clean, we submit a review request in Google Search Console, refresh the sitemap and monitor until the "not safe" warning clears.

What we take on

  • WordPress and WooCommerce
  • Shopify and custom storefronts
  • Next.js, React and static sites
  • Laravel, PHP and Node backends
  • Hosting, server and DNS configuration
  • SSL certificates and renewals
  • MySQL and PostgreSQL repair
  • Migrations and host changes that went wrong

What we do not do

  • Design or rebuild a full site mid-emergency — that is a build, quoted separately the moment your site is stable
  • Recover data that was never backed up — we will tell you honestly instead of taking your money to try
  • Work without access — hosting, server or admin credentials are required, and we will tell you exactly which

If your site needs a full rebuild rather than a rescue, we quote that separately the moment the emergency is closed — starting points are on our website cost guide.

How emergency billing works

Free triage

We reproduce the failure, find the cause and tell you what it takes to fix it. You are free to take that diagnosis anywhere.

Fixed quote, approved first

The number in the quote is the number you pay. No hourly billing, no meter running while we investigate.

You approve every risky step

Rollbacks, restores and migrations are confirmed with you on WhatsApp before we run them.

Payment after the fix

AED by card or bank transfer, invoiced once the site is verified. No deposit required for a standard emergency.

Making sure it does not happen twice

The cheapest emergency is the one that never starts. Three things cover almost every repeat outage we get called back for, and we can set all of them up while closing your incident.

Verified backups

A backup you have never tested restoring is a rumour. We verify restores on a staging copy, on a schedule, and keep the last known-good version reachable.

Updates on staging first

Plugin, theme and CMS updates are applied to a staging copy, checked for breakage, and only then pushed to production. Most post-update emergencies never reach the live site.

Monitoring that tells you first

Uptime checks, SSL expiry alerts, error-rate thresholds and speed regression alerts — so your customers are not the ones reporting the outage.

Ongoing cover is priced per month and scoped to your stack — see our maintenance cost guide for the UAE. If speed rather than stability is the problem, our website speed optimisation service covers the performance side, and for a site that never launched properly, our urgent website build offer ships a working site in twelve hours.

FAQ

Common Questions

First reply within 30 minutes on WhatsApp during UAE working hours (Sunday to Saturday, 9am-9pm GST). Messages sent overnight get the first slot the next morning. Triage starts the moment you send the URL — you do not wait for a call-back slot.

No. Emergency support is open to every business, including ones that have never spoken to us. Existing maintenance clients get priority response, but nobody is turned away because they do not have a retainer.

Triage is free: we look, reproduce the failure and tell you what is wrong. You then get a fixed quote and the work only starts once you approve it. No hourly billing, no surprise line items, and no charge for work you did not approve.

Your URL, what is broken in plain words, the exact error text or a screenshot, and when it started. After that we usually need one of: hosting/cPanel access, server access, or admin login. We will tell you precisely which one, and we never ask for more access than the fix requires.

We do. Hosting companies support infrastructure; developers support their own code. Emergencies usually live in the gap between the two — a plugin update, a certificate, a DNS record, a database limit. We debug the whole path regardless of where the fault originated, and we tell you honestly when the fault genuinely belongs to a third party.

Yes. We can take the wheel and hand it back, or work as an extra pair of hands with your team in the loop. During an incident we adapt to whatever restores service fastest, and we document every change we make so your developer can pick it up cleanly.

Containment first — restrict access and preserve evidence. Then we clean the malware and backdoors, restore integrity, harden the site against the same entry point, and once it is clean, request a review in Google Search Console so the "not safe" warning clears. Do not delete files or "clean it yourself" before that: it destroys the evidence and often leaves the backdoor in place.

If a clean, recent backup exists, yes — and we verify it before we restore it, because restoring a backup that contains the same vulnerability just repeats the outage. We also take a fresh backup of the current broken state before any restore, so nothing is lost in either direction.

WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, custom PHP and Laravel, Node.js, Next.js and React front-ends, plus the hosting, DNS, SSL and database layers underneath them. If your site is on something unusual, send the URL — we will tell you straight away whether we can help.

That is one of the most common emergencies we handle. We do a full handover: read the codebase and server setup, document what exists, secure anything left exposed, and then either fix and keep it running or hand you a plan for a rebuild. See our software takeover service for the longer version.

Yes, and we ask for the minimum the job needs — usually a limited user account rather than the owner login. Access is used for the incident only, passed through a password manager rather than chat where possible, and revoked or handed back when the job closes. You get a written record of every change we made and every credential we touched.

You do, 100%. Nothing we write is licensed back to you, nothing is reused, and we do not keep your site hostage. All work, documentation, configurations and access transfers to you at the end of the incident.

Yes, on request, and before any discovery conversation. Send the request on WhatsApp with the URL and we will send it across with the first reply.

On WhatsApp — the same channel you used to reach us. You get a message when triage finishes with the diagnosis, a message before any step that costs money or carries risk (rollback, restore, migration), and a message when the site is verified. No black boxes, no waiting for a status call.

Three things cover most repeat emergencies: verified backups you can restore from, updates applied on staging before production, and monitoring that tells you the site is down before your customers do. We can set all three up as part of closing the incident — see our maintenance cost guide for what ongoing cover looks like.

Yes. The team is Dubai-based and works across the UAE — Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah — and remotely with clients in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and the UK.

Site still down? Do not wait for business hours to fix it.

How the Web Works

Sourced context on what goes into a modern website.

A website is a collection of web pages and related content identified by a common domain name, published on at least one web server.[1]

Responsive web design ensures pages render and function well on a range of devices — phones, tablets and desktops — by adapting the layout to screen size.[2]
