Fit-Out Project Management Software in Dubai

Control Shift develops fit-out software that connects design approvals, commercial scope, procurement, fabrication and site delivery. Build an interior fit-out ERP or a focused project system around the way your Dubai and UAE teams manage rooms, finishes, trades and handover dates.

For interior fit-out contractors, MEP specialists, joinery businesses and project teams coordinating design, factory and site work.

A workflow we can build around your team
  1. Agree the package

  2. Release the design

    Approved release with dependencies

  3. Procure, fabricate and install

    Installation and inspection evidence

  4. Close and hand over

    Reviewed handover package

Proposed workflow. Final roles, records and approvals are agreed during discovery.

An approved finish should reach every team that acts on it

A client changes a finish while procurement is comparing quotes and the workshop is preparing fabrication. If those teams work from different revisions, the result can be a wrong order, rework or an unrecorded variation. A fit-out system connects the approved design and commercial decision to the work package affected.

Design and material approvals

Track room data, shop drawings, material samples and client or consultant responses by revision. Record approved, rejected and revise-and-resubmit states. Link each release to the items that procurement and the workshop may use.

Room and trade delivery planning

Organise tasks by zone, room and trade, including MEP dependencies, access windows and testing or commissioning milestones. Keep prerequisites visible so a planned installation is not mistaken for work that is ready to proceed.

Joinery production and dispatch

Connect approved shop drawings to scoped bills of materials, production jobs, quality checks and room-tagged dispatch. Cutting-list or machine integration is a separate requirement, dependent on factory formats and equipment access.

Variations, certificates and handover

Track a change instruction through cost assessment, client approval, procurement impact and site execution. Link measured progress to billing and retention records. Close the project with accepted snags, warranties, as-built references and operation manuals.

From the first record to an approved result

Each handover has an owner, a required input and a recorded outcome. We define the exceptions alongside the normal process.

  1. Step 1

    Agree the package

    Estimator + project manager

Confirm room scope, BOQ, finish schedule and commercial exclusions.

    Output: Controlled fit-out package

  2. Step 2

    Release the design

    Design coordinator + authorised reviewer

Approve the relevant sample and drawing revision before ordering or fabrication.

    Output: Approved release with dependencies

  3. Step 3

    Procure, fabricate and install

Buyer + factory + site leads

Track delivery dates, production status, room allocation and MEP prerequisites.

    Output: Installation and inspection evidence

  4. Step 4

    Close and hand over

    Project manager + quality team

Resolve snags and assemble accepted records, manuals and warranty information.

    Output: Reviewed handover package

A design approval is not automatically a commercial variation approval. The system must record the authority and conditions for each decision.

Connect fit-out ERP, joinery and MEP records

Share room IDs, finish codes, drawing revisions and project cost codes across estimating, procurement, factory and site systems. MEP contractor software can add long-lead equipment, installation dependencies and testing records. Agree export formats and interface responsibilities with each existing provider.

AI document review for changing project packs

Use document extraction to prepare sample registers, search approved specifications and summarise changes between issued packs. A draft can highlight a changed finish or missing submittal reference, with links to its evidence. Designers, commercial reviewers and project managers decide which change is approved and who must act.

Scope, build and validate with Control Shift

The proposal depends on room and trade structures, factory scope, revision workflows, mobile requirements and accounting integration. Pilot one project from design release to handover. Advanced production planning, cutting-list integration and BIM links should be priced as explicit extensions rather than assumed features.

Bring these inputs to discovery

  • A sample fit-out BOQ, room schedule and drawing or sample register
  • Joinery job cards, MEP dependencies and supplier delivery requirements
  • Variation approvals, snagging templates and required handover documents

Agree these acceptance checks

  • Only the approved drawing and finish revision can release a controlled order or job.
  • A design change identifies affected purchase orders, fabrication and site packages.
  • Snag acceptance and document completeness are checked before a handover package is closed.

Implementation and ownership

Discovery produces a workflow and data map, a prototype, an integration plan and an itemised delivery scope. Validate a trial migration and pilot with the people who use the system. Agree access roles, backups, deployment responsibilities, source-code handover, third-party licences and support terms before rollout.

Control Shift serves project teams in Dubai and across the UAE. Your project locations, languages and existing systems determine the rollout plan. Where a packaged platform already meets the requirement, configuration or a focused integration may be the appropriate scope.

FAQ

Fit-out, MEP and joinery — common questions

A fit-out system links rooms, finishes, sample approvals, shop drawings, procurement and trade dependencies to the commercial scope. General task tracking may cover a programme but not the relationship between an approved finish, a purchase order, fabrication and a variation.

Yes, with shared project references and separate workflows for each discipline. MEP needs equipment and commissioning records; joinery may need production jobs and component tracking. The scope should define these differences before combining their reporting.

Production jobs, approved drawings, quality checks and dispatch records can be included. Detailed bills of materials, cutting lists, machine interfaces and capacity planning require factory-specific discovery and should be separately defined.

Record the instruction, affected rooms and work packages, cost and time assessment, and approval status. Link approved changes to revised orders, drawings and budgets. Keep design acceptance separate from the commercial authority to vary the contract.

Yes. Define asset IDs, accepted snag records, warranties, manuals and as-built references in the handover scope. Confirm the receiving system and its import or API requirements before the project closeout so the records can be transferred consistently.
